A lot of technical assistance work follows a familiar pattern: an outside consultant arrives, builds something, and leaves, leaving the partner organization to maintain a system or process they don’t fully understand and can’t adapt on their own. iDIA Teach is built to avoid that pattern entirely. Every engagement starts with a real scoping conversation: what does this organization already know how to do, what do they want to be able to do independently by the time the engagement ends, and what would responsible ownership of that capability actually look like for them specifically.

iDIA Teach works with Tribal governments, Native nonprofits, and Indigenous-led organizations of varying size and capacity, from small, volunteer-run efforts just getting their footing to more established organizations looking to formalize or scale a specific initiative. What they tend to share is a moment of needing outside support without wanting to hand over long-term ownership of their own work.
